Catholic Scouting

Scouting and the Catholic Church – Scouting is Youth Ministry!

The Catholic Church has a long history of affiliation with Scouting.  Through Apostolates to Boy and Girl Scouting, the Diocese of Gary supports and encourages the faith dimension of these youth programs.

Boy Scouting:  The Catholic Committee on Scouting

The Diocese of Gary Catholic Committee on Scouting is a committee affiliated with the National Catholic Committee on Scouting which serves scouts in both the Pathway to Adventure Council and LaSalle Council.  The Committee is dedicated to promoting “Duty to God” at each level of Scouting.
