Prayer Vigil for an End to the Death Penalty

UPDATE: The prayer service will take place in the Chicago Street parking lot outside the state prison.

The Office of Pro-life Activities is coordinating a prayer vigil on the eve of Benjamin Ritchie scheduled execution to pray for an end to the death penalty and for all victims of violence. It will be a time of peaceful prayer, not a rally.

The gathering will begin with the Rosary followed by Fr. Rick Holy leading the prayer vigil on Monday, May 19 at 8 p.m. on the sidewalk outside the main entrance to the Indiana State Prison in Michigan City. The prayer service program is available here.
