Speaker Bio:
Chris Padgett is a Catholic evangelist, musician, and speaker who has spent more than thirty years traveling the country sharing the truth of Christ’s love with humor, authenticity, and joy. He earned his M.A. in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 2006 and later received his Pontifical degree in Mariology (STL) from the Marianum in Rome in 2019.
Chris married his high-school sweetheart, Linda, and together they have been blessed with 34 years of marriage, nine children, and eight grandchildren. For decades, Chris and Linda have served in marriage and family ministry. They lead all Pre-Cana formation for the Diocese of Syracuse and provide marriage preparation for the Diocese of Newark, NJ, via Zoom. They also travel widely, offering retreats and writing on marriage and family life.
Chris previously taught theology at Franciscan University and now serves on the faculty of Catholic International University. Linda is a mental-health therapist currently pursuing her doctorate in trauma therapy.
In addition to marriage ministry, Chris is known for his parish comedy events, leadership retreats for staff, and engaging presentations that combine theological depth with humor. While traveling for ministry has been a gift, the stability and support of his family have always been at the heart of his apostolate. With their children now grown, Chris and Linda dedicate even more time to helping couples strengthen their marriages and family life.
The Padgetts also own a used bookstore in Camden, NY, The Letter and Leaf, which serves as a local hub for faith, learning, and community.
