MERRILLVILLE – Bishop Robert J. McClory has announced the following assignments, effective July 1, 2026.
Father Ivan Alatorre is appointed associate pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Hammond, in addition to his assignment as associate pastor of St. John Bosco.
Father Jeffrey Burton is appointed pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Hammond, in addition to his assignment as pastor of St. John Bosco in Hammond, administrator of St. Joseph in Hammond, and Dean of the North Lake Deanery.
Father Steven Caraher is appointed administrator of Holy Spirit in Winfield, St. Helen in Hebron, and St. Mary in Kouts, in addition to his current remote learning studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in the New Evangelization.
Father Nathaniel Edquist is appointed pastor of St. Paul in Valparaiso, in addition to his assignment as Director of Vocations for the Diocese of Gary.
Father Gregory Evers, C.PP.S. (with concurrence of Father Jeffrey Kirch, C.PP.S., Provincial Director) is appointed associate pastor of St. John the Baptist in Whiting-Robertsdale and Sacred Heart in Whiting.
Father Jordan Fetcko is appointed administrator of St. Thomas Aquinas in Knox.
Father Stephen Loncar is appointed associate pastor of Sacred Heart in Wanatah and St. Mary in Otis.
Father Declan McNicholas is appointed administrator of St. Matthias in Crown Point, in addition to his assignment as Director of Missionary Discipleship and Evangelization for the Diocese of Gary.
Father Roque Meraz is appointed pastor of Holy Family in LaPorte, in addition to his assignment as Associate Director of Vocations.
Father Charles Mosley is appointed priest in solidum of Holy Angels Cathedral, St. Joseph the Worker, and St. Mary of the Lake in Gary.
Father Jayababu Nuthulapati is appointed rector of Holy Angels Cathedral in Gary, and in solidum moderator of Holy Angels Cathedral, St. Joseph the Worker, and St. Mary of the Lake in Gary.
Father Mark Peres, C.PP.S. (with concurrence of Father Jeffrey Kirch, C.PP.S., Provincial Director) is appointed pastor of Sacred Heart in Whiting, in addition to his assignment as pastor of St. John the Baptist in Whiting-Robertsdale.
Father Robert Ross is appointed associate pastor of St. Thomas More in Munster.
Father James Wozniak is appointed pastor of St. Thomas More in Munster.
Upon ordination to the priesthood, Deacon William O’Donnell will be appointed associate pastor of St. Paul in Valparaiso.
