The Diocese of Gary has an exciting ministry opportunity for the following position:

Assistant Superintendent of Mission and Catholic Identity

Position Purpose: To create a unified diocesan-wide vision and implementation plan regarding mission, culture and Catholic Identity using their leadership experience fostering a positive school culture grounded in the mission and Catholic Identity. Under the general supervision of the Superintendent to develop, implement, direct, supervise, and coordinate programs, professional development, and interventions for the Diocese of Gary Schools to positively impact and align mission, school culture and Catholic Identity.  Work collaboratively with the Schools Office and the Office of Evangelization and Missionary Discipleship to provide formation to school leadership, facilitating their own personal encounter with Christ and equipping them to share the Gospel with those they serve to further the mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Gary.

The Assistant Superintendent position requires a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Theology or Educational Leadership and must be an active, fully initiated practicing Catholic. State of Indiana administrator certification or meets criteria to qualify for state certification. Three to five years of experience in the field of educational administration in Catholic education.
