Bishop Noll Institute (BNI), entering its 104th school year, is a Catholic college preparatory high school – adjacent to Chicago in Hammond, Indiana – dedicated to forming young men and women of faith, knowledge, and service. Reports To:  Director of Advancement.

Summary of Position:

The Alumni Network Coordinator is a full-time position that plays a vital role in strengthening the connection between Bishop Noll Institute and its vast alumni community. This position is responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategies to increase alumni engagement, participation in events and philanthropy.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Alumni Engagement:
    1. Develop and implement a comprehensive alumni engagement plan that fosters lifelong connections with Bishop Noll.
    2. Identify and cultivate relationships with alumni volunteers and leaders.
    3. Manage and engage Alumni class captains, geographic Alumni Association chapters and affinity groups.
    4. Manage and maintain an accurate alumni database through Raiser’s Edge NXT, working closely with others on the Advancement team.
    5. Develop and execute communication strategies to keep alumni informed about school news, events and achievements.
  2. Events:
    1. Coordinate alumni reunions, networking events and social gatherings at Bishop Noll and other event spaces. Some events might need to be coordinated out of state for BNI alumni chapters. Work closely with the Events Coordinator to execute the events.
    2. Work closely with Events Coordinator to secure sponsorships, and manage logistics and volunteers for alumni events.
    3. Track event attendance, revenues and engagement metrics.
  3. Philanthropy:
    1. Identify and cultivate potential alumni donors to the Annual Fund through an organized “moves management” process.
    2. Assist with stewardship efforts to ensure ongoing relationships with alumni donors.
    3. Support the Director of Advancement in fundraising initiatives by providing alumni-focused data and insights.
  4. Other Duties:
    1. Assist with other advancement activities as assigned by the Director of Advancement.
    2. Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while representing Bishop Noll Institute.
    3. Contribute to a positive advancement team-oriented environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Non-Profit Management or a related field (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Passion for Bishop Noll Institute and a strong desire to connect alumni with the school, while publicly supporting the schools’ Catholic mission and teachings.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while remaining part of a mission-focused team.
  • Demonstrates honesty, integrity and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive financial or personal information.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace and donor management software (preferred).
  • Ability to travel as needed.
