Pope Francis' theme for the Year of Hope is "hope does not disappoint." The world may disappoint in many ways, but the love of Christ never disappoints. In this talk, we will read the signs of the times and explore how we can be true pilgrims of hope in our world today.

10:15am Talk 2: Kerygmatic Catechesis: Encountering Christ Our Hope
The Church today is calling all of us to engage in kerygmatic catechesis. This talk will explore what the Church teaches about kerygmatic catechesis and the key methods and approaches that will enable the people we catechize to encounter Christ who is our hope.

1:30pm Talk 3: Being Catechists of Hope: The Spirituality of the Catechist
Catechesis is more than just teaching but being witnesses to the joy and hope of Christ This talk will break open a spirituality of the catechist based upon the teaching of St. John Paul II that allows us to be true witnesses of Christ.
