A Vision of this Ministry
The Director of Discipleship and Evangelization (Director) collaborates closely with the Pastor and with other members of the Parish, both paid staff and volunteers, in the overall pastoral ministry of the parish. The incumbent is a dynamic and innovative leader with the ability to successfully build and lead a team of volunteers and staff members, to grow a culture of discipleship rooted in the mission of evangelization throughout the parish. The incumbent will develop and implement Discipleship Formation for parish staff, plan, promote and facilitate programs and events to help parishioners encounter Christ, learn about their faith, become disciples (leaders), and equip them to make more disciples. This individual, as a minister of the Catholic Church, has the responsibility to live a life in accord with the church’s teachings so that they might be available to preach Jesus Christ through their actions and words to all they meet.
